What is Yeti?
Yeti is a Mythical creature, which we can see in movies, comics and tv e.t.c but not in real life. It looks like an ape and lives in Snow. The Legend of yeti or we can call 'Abominable Snowman', the name first appears in the 1920s. According to the fable, the ape-like creature roams to the Himalayan region but has never been spotted, and there is no evidence of it. The name was coined by a British explorer who first documented similar footprints in the Lhakpa La of Tibet. It is also commonly referred to as Meh-Teh (Man-Bear) and Kang-mi(Snowman). Till now Yeti lives on in popular culture with several references to it in literature, movies, music, and games. Scientists regularly debunk the theory, attributing "sightings" and "evidence" to other species inhabiting the mountains like bears.
Indian Army found the footprints of Yeti?
Recently, on 9 April 2019 near Makalu base camp, they found huge footprints and they are claiming that footprints may of Mysterious creature called Yeti.
"The Army said it's mountaineering Expedition team found the Yeti's footprints, measuring approximately 32.15 inches, near the Makalu base camp in Nepal on April 9, 2019, and posted pictures of this sighting on the internet."
What is Makalu? And where it is?
Makalu is the fifth highest mountain in the world at 8,485 meters. It is located in the Mahalangur Himalayas, some 19 kilometers southeast of Mount Everest, on the border between Nepal and Tibet, China.
Will this Boost the Cryptozoology?
This may be a Yeti's footprints or not, we don't know until further investigations by experts take place. The problem is that all these creatures may not be real. And the study of these types of creatures called 'Cryptozoology', meaning the study of secret animals, which are not known till now. It is also considered as 'pseudoscience' with no scientific basis at all.
The existence of Yeti in the Himalayas as shown by the photographs footprints by the Indian Army is not borne out by hard evidence but just belief. Maybe it can be true who knows to wait for further investigations.
