This webpage is parked for free Godaddy Domain Problem Solved
This webpage is parked for free this problem mainly occurs in Godaddy. If you have bought a domain name from GoDaddy's website and somehow you came to know that you are facing this problem then you came to the right place.
I said "somehow" because there are many people who don't even know that they are facing this "This webpage is parked for free" problem until they reload their page and try to open their page in different browsers. It mostly occurs with Mozilla and Opera web browsers or maybe it can occur in any browser.
I faced this "This webpage is parked for free" problem when I was editing my website and opening it again and again in many browsers. So the thing I found there is that
"this website is parked for free GoDaddy courtesy"
and sometimes
"Website coming soon".
I want to mention one thing that Godaddy is the worst domain provider and please never buy a domain and especially hosting from Godaddy. Their customer support is also the worst in the class but fortunately, I thanked God that at least they have a customer support service.
I also tried to call the customer service support on this regard and they are only saying that this problem is occurring because you don't have hosting, although they are correct but, what if someone is using a blogspot as their host and buying domain from their website, they are paying yearly so why are you showing ads on their domain and also stopping their traffic. We can accept if it's free but we are paying for it...
Apart from all this, I tried to find the solution by myself, So let me tell you first if you don't know what the actual problem is.
Actual Problem/Real Reason in case you don't know:
The problem occurs if you buy domain name from godaddy.com and using it on blogspot.com, then what GoDaddy do is that they use your domain as their advertising page, I am not saying every time or on every click but many times they used to do This webpage is parked for free, they are promoting their services via this, you will never know that you are facing this problem. This webpage is parked for free problem Mainly occurs:
1.If you are using blogspot as host.2.If you haven't attached your domain to your Blogspot account or any other host.
It can also decrease your traffic and rankings.
I found the solution which is changing their name servers to your hosting name servers. I divided that into two parts as follows:
1.If you are Using Blogspot.com as your Host do this to solve this GoDaddy domain problem
If you are using blogspot as your host then there is no chance that you can change your nameservers (NOTE: CNAME and A are not nameservers) because Blogspot doesn't provide nameservers as far as I know, So its better to buy a hosting or use the free subdomain and earn a little to buy hosting.
Till then, You can use this trick to remove that Godaddy Parking page so that you can use blogspot and never get this "This webpage is parked for free" problem...
- Go to Godaddy and open your account.
- From there click the option "Connect my domain".
- Now enter your website full domain name in the box the like this "https://www.yoursitename.com" and press finish.
- Done You will never see that This webpage is parked for free parking page again.
Some tech knowledge that I have found: This parking page loads mostly when you try to open your website by only using .com only like e.g. apkdataobb.com(as 99% of the people do), they don't take it as connected domain to something, they take it as it is parked free, so that's why they show their ads on that domain and in blogger we add "www.yoursitename.com" not "yoursitename.com" as domain that's why they show the parking page. If you have Questions and suggestions please comment below because this will help many people who are suffering from this problem.
2. If you are Using a Host, do this to solve this parking problem of the domain in GoDaddy
If you have hosting then the solution is easy, you just have to change the Nameservers of your Domain in the Godaddy account and that's it, you will never face this problem again.
Here is the screenshot of the Nameservers Godaddy is Using on my domain and may be on yours too.
If you have hosting then you can change your name server by these following steps:
1. Open your Godaddy account and Select the domain then Go to DNS settings2. Scroll Down you will see Nameservers with name Server change Option like this
3. Click on change Button and enter the nameservers of your Host and it's all done.
4. Now you will never see that This webpage is parked for free page again because you are in control.
NOTE: This is not only Godaddy but there are many other hosts also who uses this way to promote their Hosting and website, So please check before you buy domain or hosting.
